Mexico City (Estadio Azteca), Guadalajara, Monterrey. Opening match June 11 at Azteca.
Toronto (BMO Field) and Vancouver host Canada's first ever FIFA World Cup matches.

48 teams in 12 groups of 4. Each team plays 3 games. Top 2 per group qualify automatically. 8 best third-place teams also advance — giving 32 teams total in the knockouts.
Round of 32
Brand new in 2026! The first-ever Round of 32 at a FIFA World Cup. 32 teams compete in single-elimination ties to reach the Round of 16.
The Final
Two separate pathways prevent top-ranked teams meeting before the final. The Grand Final takes place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey (New York area).
